Here follows the example game ratings list. The format of the list is "Publisher, Game title: Rating". A reason for some ratings is provided. Please remember that at the moment these are only examples and are not to be taken as the developer/publisher's own ratings for their games.
If you're a developer or publisher and are not happy with the ratings listed here, please contact the mailing list to discuss this. We will then (most likely) update the rating. The important point is that we need to discuss the issues involved, so please don't just change this page and not tell us anything.
AGRIP, AccessibleQuake and AudioQuake: Mature Teens (Reason: Sustained strong violence. The fantasy settings allow this to be a Fifteen as opposed to an Adults Only rating.)
Bavisoft, Chillingham: Young Teens (Reason: Violence occasional and non–detailed.)
Bavisoft, Grizzly Gulch: Young Teens (Reason: Violence occasional and non–detailed.)
ESP, Alien Outback: Parental Guidance (Reason: The setting is entirely un–realistic so the risk of imitation is low.)
ESP, Monkey Business: Twelve
GMA Games, Shades of Doom: Mature Teens (Reason: Sustained strong violence. The setting and fantasy weaponry allow this to be a Mature Teens game as opposed to an Adults Only rating.)
Infocom, Leather Goddess of Phobos: Adults Only
Infocom, The Lurking Horror: Adults Only (Reason: Injuries are dwelt upon and significant details — both textual and aural — of how they are caused and the pain they inflict are presented.)
Jim Kitchen, WinSpank (Reason: Jim has already classified his game for Adults Only.)
