Help on Registering, Logging in and Changing Your Preferences
This page is used to either register a new account, log into an existing account or update your preferences once you've logged in. This section explains how to use the form.
Creating a new account
If you want to register for an account, please fill out Name, Password, Password repeat and Email.
It is best to choose a WikiName (like FirstnameLastname) as username to get your changes and signatures link back to your WikiHomepage. Your email is needed for you to be able to get notifications on page changes and to recover lost login data.
If you click on Create Profile, a user profile will be created for you and you will be logged in immediately.
Logging in
Once you've got an account, you can log in to the Wiki whenever you visit. Just use Name and Password and click on Login. If you forgot your password, provide your email address and click on Mail me my account data.
Changing settings
After you've registered an account or have logged in, you'll be presented with a form which allows you to change your preferences. Using the Save button updates your profile (stored on the Wiki server).
Logging out
To log out, simply use the Logout button. This clears the cookie created at login.
The Cookie
The "ID", shown in the response page, gets saved as a cookie in your browser for the system to temporarily recognise you. It will expire next midnight - except if you choose Remember login information (after being logged in), then the cookie won't expire.
